The sanitation workers' city

Dr. King came to Memphis for a sanitation strike — for wages, for dignity, for men who had to wear a sign to be recognized as human. Faith Out Loud! Memphis takes that as the assignment: the gospel has something to say about how people are paid and how people are policed.

Our Memphis cohort gathers pastors, ministry leaders and lay organizers from congregations across [the city and Shelby County] for formation, training and coordinated action.
